DFS acreditation renewed – 21 Feb 2010
NCI Froward Point was formally examined to determine whether it continued to merit Declared Facility Status (DFS) acreditation. Within the examination, two live communication and conning exercises were held with the Dart ILB, with both ‘runs’ resulting in the ILB being successfully homed to the datum. Ongoing DFS acreditation was confirmed.

Incident during regatta week – 28 Aug 2009
Froward Point watchkeepers observed the two masted replica of a cutter from Nelson's HMS Victory in danger of being blown onto the Mewstone in heavy seas and a strong northwesterly wind. More as reported in Herald Express . . .

  Incident Near The Homestone – 20 Feb 2007
At 1327 the duty watchkeeper picked up a VHF call for assistance to Brixham Coastguard from a 10 metre motor cruiser requesting a tow after mechanical failure. Brixham CG contacted Dart Harbour Authority and a vessel was dispatched to undertake a tow. More . . .


Incident Off The Mewstone – 27 Sep 2007
On logging in with Brixham Coastguard at 0900 the duty watchkeepers were asked if they could see a steel hulled catamaran, the Jose Jacqueline. Its reported position was a little over quarter of a mile South of the Mewstone rock. More . . .

DFS Certificate Presentation – 24 Sep 2007
