The weather display uses a software package from Adobe called Flash. For many years all browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari and even Internet Explorer) were delivered with a Flash player incorporated and our weather could be seen without difficulty.
Then Apple decided to inhibit Flash from all browsers, including its own Safari, on its iOS devices (i.e., iPads and iPhones). The solution is to download a browser called Photon which interprets Flash "in the cloud" and sends the result to your device. This continues to work well with our weather display.
More recently several browsers on both PCs and Macs have ceased to incorporate a Flash player automatically, so when your browser's software is updated, you may lose the ability to see Flash presentations.
You have to download and install the Flash player for the browser you use. You can do this from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. You may sometimes be asked whether you allow the Flash plugin to be used on a site you are viewing. If so, just click "yes".
The latest version of Chrome does include a Flash Player, but you have to go to Preferences or Setting > Advanced > Content Setting > Flash and then switch on "Allow sites to run Flash" and switch off "Ask First".
We hope this helps and we hope that you continue to appreciate our live weather display.
