In addition to the volunteer watchkeepers, there is an active group of volunteer Friends of Froward Point that organises events and social activities to raise funds towards the running, maintenance and development costs of keeping the watch station operational. Currently, our annual costs are approximately £10,000.

From Easter to December the Friends attended and/or organised 11 fundraising events, including an Easter Tea Party at Alf Resco, a Summer Raffle with prizes donated by many local businesses and a Ceilidh, all of which together raised a net total of £3,923.45.
The Friends have several yellow charity collection boxes placed with various local businesses and clubs (£485.98) and at the Lookout (£2,117.36) which raised a total of £2,603.34.
Therefore the total fundraising income for the year was £6,526.79,.
